Android Wear wird ja keine Apps im eigentlichen Sinne unterstützen.
Apps auf dem Smartphone können Benachrichtigungen an Android Wear schicken.
Das geschieht jedoch schon voll automatisch:

When an Android handheld (phone or tablet) and Android wearable are connected, the handheld automatically shares notifications with the wearable. On the wearable, each notification appears as a new card in the context stream.

Das heißt aPager ist jetzt schon für Android Wear bereit. Jedoch noch nicht optimiert. Aber da muss man aktuell beobachten wie sich Android Wear so verbreitet, bevor man zeitaufwendige Arbeiten reinsteckt.
